Ferdinand want to stay Man United

Defender Rio Ferdinand of Manchester United hope that he will soon be a contract extension when the season ends.

Ferdinand's contract with the team expires at the end of this season. He retired from international career wholeheartedly to play in clubs. It is expected that coach David Moyes will sign a 12 month contract with the former Leeds United.

However, Ferdinand also told reporters that the current manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, will also play a role in the decision to extend his contract or not.
"I have to talk to the board about a new contract. And I hope coach can help me out in this," 34-year-old midfielder said.
